The First Thanksgiving

I am very proud of myself and my cooking abilities. I was able to make our Thanksgiving Dinner all by myself with only one phone call to my mother (it was made a couple days before so I am almost not counting it). The 10 pound butterball was great, the mashed potatoes were just like the potatoes I remember from Thanksgiving with Mom, the traditional monkey bread was as good as always, and the store bought stuffing, corn, and cranberry sauce were good too. Here are some pictures I took after we had already eaten.

After dinner we joined my sister Tracy and her family for Pumpkin, Apple, and Yogurt pie. We watched Kung Fu Panda, I helped them get a start on their puzzle and just had some plain ol' fun hangin out with the family.

The call doesn't even begin to count because I didn't tell you how to cook anything! You have every reason to be proud. You've always had a knack for the kitchen and It will only get better!
Love and miss you lots.

See now aren't you glad we didn't invite you over? (just kidding) We were scrooges this year. But next year, now that you know how to cook it all, you are more than invited! Of course, you'll probably want to do it all alone again . . . I sure missed out on the monkey bread though.
